This September, we travelled to Adelaide to host a member meeting for our South Australian community at the beautiful Rydges in South Park.
The event, aptly named “Inspiring Connections,” symbolised our commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging community.
The gathering brought together a diverse group of attendees, including healthcare professionals, members, and supporters, all enjoying a delicious selection of food and casual conversations at circular tables designed to encourage networking.
The event featured an update on IDFA’s latest initiatives and inspiring insights from member Alison Copley and her daughters, Laurie and Beccy. Clinical Nurse Specialist Dianne Edwards shared her expertise on IVIg and SCIg treatments, along with valuable advice on navigating work and treatment. This sparked a meaningful discussion, as members shared their own experiences and asked questions in a relaxed, supportive environment.
After a morning tea of hot and cold selections, members continued to connect over coffee and tea, exploring ways to strengthen bonds through the IDFA Coffee Club and other exciting in-person and online activities. It was a wonderful opportunity to discuss how we can continue building lasting connections within our community.
The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and the forging of new friendships, making this event truly special and memorable for all who attended. We can’t wait to see these connections continue to grow!
